We will experience a week of the best wreck diving in the world at Truk Lagoon, from the Odyssey, a 132 ft live-aboard yacht. Then after a short flight to Kosrae, we will spend three days, diving some of the most pristine reefs in Micronesia.

Diving in Truk Lagoon is an adventure you will never forget. WWII wrecks are scattered across 77 square miles. The wrecks are covered with life. There are over 300 varieties of hard and soft corals. On the outer reef, you'll find mountains of coral that stretch as far as the eye can see, and drops off into the abyss. The water temperature ranges from 82 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit. Visibility ranges from 30' to 100' depending on where you are in the lagoon and there is little current. While almost all the wrecks are well within recreational diving limits, the Odyssey can support technical diving including rebreathers.

We have booked all 16 spots on the Odyssey for the July 29 to August 5 cruise. This luxury yacht features: carpeted staterooms with private ensuite facilities, air-conditioning controls, and DVD player; carpet and air-conditioning throughout the vessel; large dining area with full commercial galley; and separate entertainment lounge with TV, VCR (PAL & NTSC), DVD, stereo, library, large slide table, and bar.

Planning Notes
Since the Odyssey fills up so far in advance, we had to act now to get a good week in 2012. All costs (double occupancy) are subject to change, but have been calculated using current prices plus 10% for inflation. However, we will figure the "balance due" amount based on exact prices at that time.
We plan on flying as a group from Cleveland and will try to get the best price with the help of a dive travel specialist.
Our plans for Kosrae include 4 nights of lodging at the Kosrae Nautilus Resort with breakfast and dinner included and 3 days of 3-tank dives with lunch onboard the dive boat.
We will need two nights in Truk; the night before and after our Odyssey cruise.
